A new Head Teacher has been appointed to the 384-pupil Drakies Primary School, Inverness. She is Miss Shona Kelly, currently Head Teacher of Kirkhill Primary School, near Inverness, a post she has held since 1995. Miss Kelly will take up post after the summer holiday period.

Since the retirement of Mr Iain Clark in August of last year, Mrs Jean Loutit, depute head teacher, has been Acting Head Teacher at the school.
