USE: IMMEDIATE ISSUE DATE: Wednesday 2 March 2005 UPDATE ON A9/96 ROADWORKS NEAR INVERNESS Work began on Monday (28 February) on the A9/A96 Raigmore Interchange Roundabout and the A9 northbound off-ramp by Inverness and will last for approximately six weeks. Motorists are advised than the A9 northbound off ramp to the roundabout will be closed to all traffic on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 March from 7pm to 6am. During this time traffic will be diverted via Longman Roundabout and then to Raigmore Roundabout. This diversion route will be clearly sign posted. The works are being carried out on by Highland Quality Construction on behalf of the Scottish Executive, to enlarge the existing roadside drainage from the Dell Burn. Temporary signage on the A9 and A96 trunk roads will advise the public of the traffic restrictions over the next six weeks which will involve the introduction of a 30mph speed limit.
