A new Head Teacher has been appointed to the 66-pupil Kilchuimen Academy, Fort Augustus. She is Ms Maria Gibbons, currently Depute Head Teacher, Kilgraston School, Bridge of Earn. It is likely that Ms Gibbons will take up post after the summer holiday period.

Ms Gibbons succeeds long-serving Head Teacher, Dr Jim Cameron, who retires at the end of April He has been at the helm since 1992..

Gavin MacLean, Depute Rector, Inverness High School, will take over as Acting Head Teacher of Kilchuimen Academy with effect from Monday 2 May.  He will cover the school until Ms Gibbons takes up post.
